Auditions to be a part of either the Minack Musical Theatre Academy or the Minack Acting Academy are open to anyone age 11-18 only.
Acting auditions will be in the morning and Musical Theatre auditions will be in the afternoon. Academy students spend one intense day a month working with professional practitioners and visiting speakers, such as directors, actors and West End stars, in practical workshops and talks. The Academies help talented young people develop advanced theatre skills.
Minack Acting Academy audition will include:
Warm Up, drama games, improvisation and a 1 minute monologue of your choice. This must be prepared before the audition.
Minack Musical Theatre Academy audition will include:
A warm up, a short dance routine and a minute song (or 32 bars) of your choice. The song must be prepared before the audition. Please bring sheet music.
