Access to The Minack is via a steep narrow road. Porthcurno and the lanes nearby are often congested, especially during the holiday season.
Our postcode is TR19 6JU. Coming from Penzance, Sat Navs will direct you via the B3283 through the village of St.Buryan. This road has narrow sections that frequently get blocked in summer, leading to long delays.
We advise you instead to keep on the A30 through Sennen, then straight onto Trevescan (do not follow satnav) where you should follow the brown tourist signs for The Minack Theatre and Porthcurno.
Parking is free for the duration of your visit, to those visiting the theatre or coming to a performance.
If you’re planning a trip to The Minack, why not register with Carshare Cornwall. You could help the environment and make new friends at the same time!
Hire a Bike
Penzance Cycle Hire offers a choice of ordinary and e-bikes for touring and include a route map and directions to Porthcurno among their suggested cycle tours.
Please note: There is a metal bike rack in the car park that cycles can be chained to, however the Minack does not provide a secure lock up for e-bikes and they are left here at your own risk.
Where to park
The Minack car park is for visitors to the theatre only. No other parking is available.
Our car park space is limited. We request that you remove your car from the car park immediately after your visit to enable us to accommodate other visitors.
If you need accessible parking, spaces are available in the tarmac section of the car park, closest to the theatre entrance.
Please be aware that our car park is on a south facing cliff-top and there is no shade available.
Overnight parking is not permitted.
We recommend camper vans and other large vehicles use the car park in Porthcurno valley to the left of the road opposite the Cable Station Inn.
If you’re visiting Porthcurno beach, please use the car park in the valley.
If you’re visiting Porthchapel beach, there’s a car park next to St Levan Church, 400 metres past The Minack.
Please note: There is no parking for coaches at the theatre.
Electric Vehicle Charging
We have 3 EV charging points located at the bottom of the grass car park, next to the ticket shack.
To book and pay for a slot, visit the ticket shack. The cost is £3.50 per hour for a maximum of two hours.
You will need to provide your own charging cable and use of our EV chargers is at your own risk.
