Taking Part

Creative opportunities for all ages

Rowena Cade created the Minack as a community asset to bring people together through theatre. As part of her legacy, we seek to engage as many people as possible with the performing arts, both as audience and participants. Our Taking Part programme reaches thousands of young people across Cornwall every year, and most of our projects are delivered free of charge. We aim to make theatre affordable and accessible to all young people, regardless of their background or circumstances.

The Minack has no external funding. This programme is entirely supported by the income we earn from our visitors and audiences.

Step into the story

From first-timers to seasoned performers, we believe theatre should be open to all. See how people of all ages and backgrounds are finding their voice at the Minack.

Support our work

Every workshop and creative opportunity we offer is free, made possible by visitor income and donations. With your support, we can keep inspiring young minds, nurturing local talent, and sharing the joy of theatre with everyone.
