Opportunities to perform at the Minack
Since 2016 we have been offering young people from the age of 9 the opportunity to audition and perform on the Minack stage through Minack Productions.
This offers an excellent training opportunity working alongside professional adult actors and creatives. It is also significantly helps to improve their skill level and confidence so they can successfully audition in the future. Many of our young casts have gone on to join our Academies, entered drama school and gone on to become professional performers.
There are currently no auditions planned for Minack Productions. Our upcoming production of Goodnight Mister Tom in August 2026 has now been cast.

Our Summer 2026 production is GOODNIGHT MISTER TOM.
As the second world war casts its dark shadow across London, a troubled and terrified young boy is sent to the safety of the countryside, along with hundreds of thousands of others. Ten-year-old William Beech is delivered into the care of gruff and curmudgeonly old widower Tom Oakley. What follows is a heart-warming tale of the blossoming of a friendship that alters both of their lives for ever. William’s new life and the bond he forms with his fellow evacuee and indomitable force of nature Zacharias Wrench seems idyllic until the tragedy of war strikes again, and finally William is forced to return to his abusive mother in London, with devastating consequences for everyone.
David Wood’s superb adaptation of Michelle Magorian’s much loved novel is both joyous and heartbreaking. A brilliant and moving family show.
Performances 17th August to 1st September 2026
We are also very fortunate to be able to offer performance and networking opportunities in collaboration with London based British Theatre Academy. These opportunities are typically during October half term week, with an intensive week of rehearsals and 4 performances on the Minack stage at the end of the week.
British Theatre Academy is a highly esteemed company known as a training ground for future West End performers. This is a brilliant opportunity for Cornish performers to meet and work with London creatives and performers which has spawned many long-term friendships and has been an inspiration for our young casts.
