Join the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s 14-piece strings ensemble/brass Octet for a brand new concert of film-inspired music journeying from London’s historic West End to the glittering lights of Hollywood.
The concert is presented and will include well-known favourites alongside lesser-known cinematic works in a programme designed for families of all ages, new audiences, and seasoned concertgoers alike!
“On Your Doorstep” concerts aim to bring the orchestra closer to live audiences across the South West in a more personal and informal setting. These mid-scale chamber ensembles of exceptional BSO musicians will perform programmes designed to be accessible for families, new audiences and seasoned concert goers alike, with a little bit of something for everyone.
This concert is offered as a relaxed family-friendly event during February half term.

The South Kerrier Alliance own and run Coronation Park for the “benefit of the residents of Helston and The Lizard” and we want everyone to be able to enjoy our events.
To try and make the work that we programmes as accessible as possible we are offering various ticket prices for this event and a free ticket draw. Please book the ticket that reflects what you can afford right now. You won’t be asked any questions and your ticket options won’t be shared with anyone. Tickets are for adults and children.

What do I need to know?
- This event takes place inside (indoors) the Old Cattle Market, Porthleven Rd, Helston TR13 0SR
- Seating is provided.
- Refreshments, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, will be available.
- There is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park as well as a larger car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.
- There is level access into the Old Cattle Market. If you have any additional access needs that you’d like to discuss with us please email Guy on [email protected].
- There are accessible toilets in the foyer of the building.
- Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted at ticketed events.
