Local storyteller Mark Harandon researched and re-created the character of Billy Rawlings who spent 40 years employed by Rowena Cade as gardener and handyman. He regularly plays Billy at the Minack, telling visitors about the theatre and how it was created, in his performance piece 'Moving Heaven and Earth". During the COVID crisis lockdowns, he created a series of short videos in which Billy tells other stories based on the rich archives of the Minack Theatre and the history of the local community from the 1930s - 60s, the period Billy worked there.
