Access to the Minack is via a steep narrow road. The lanes around Porthcurno can become very congested, especially during the holiday season.

The road to the Minack ends at St Levan Church, just beyond the theatre. There is no through road or alternative vehicle access, so you will need to return by the same route you arrived.

How to get here

By car

Our postcode is TR19 6JU. Coming from Penzance, satnav will direct you via the B3283 through the village of St.Buryan. This road has some very narrow sections and is frequently congested in summer.

Our Advice: Stay on the A30 through Sennen, then go straight on (ignoring satnav) to the junction with B3315. Turn left onto B3315 and follow signs for The Minack Theatre and Porthcurno.

Parking is free for the duration of your visit.

There is a metal bike rack in the Minack car park to which cycles can be chained. All bikes and e-bikes are left here at your own risk.

Parking for a performance

The car park will be available 90mins before the start time of the performance.

Accessible parking

Accessible parking is available in the tarmac section of the car park, close to the theatre entrance. Speak to our car park staff on arrival and they will direct you to suitable parking.

Camper vans and large vehicles

Access to the Minack is via a narrow and steep approach, with a very tight bend. Camper vans and other large vehicles up to 7.4 meters long, can access the Minack car park. However, at busy times due to high levels of traffic, it maybe advisable to use the car park in Porthcurno valley. This would avoid the steep, narrow approach and tight bends.

Overnight parking

Overnight parking in the theatre car park is not permitted.
