Ella Turk-Richards
Ella Turk-Richards is a songwriter, composer who has predominantly worked in the Southwest. Her original songwriting and arrangements draw threads from world, latin, jazz, soul and nu-folk and weaves them into a rich musical tapestry. Growing up on a diet of Jazz and African music, which is where her mother was born and raised, these influences were formative in Ella dedicating her musical life to exploring the voice as an instrument. Writing and accompanying herself on guitar, Ella seeks to find new ways to tell stories of the human condition through the characters she depicts, continually delving deeper for illumination on what it is to be human.
