Goodnight Mister Tom – Auditions 11-16 Year Olds

An opportunity for young people aged 11-16 (year 7 – year 11) to audition to be a part of this fabulous musical production to be performed at the Minack during August 2026.
The production is an adaptation of the novel set during the second world war where evacuee, ten year old William Beech, is delivered into the care of an old widower Tom Oakley. A brilliant and moving family show that is both joyous and heartbreaking.
The young people will audition for a part in the ensemble. Perfect for those who enjoy performing, singing, dancing and acting. The production will also star four professional adult actors.

Auditions will last approximately 45 minutes and are aimed at being a fun and relaxed experience. If you have any questions about the process please email [email protected]. You are welcome to access the site and cafe while you wait for your child/children.
Yes children will need to be available for all of the rehearsal and performance dates to take part. This is a professional production and is a great opportunity for children to experience working with professional directors, creatives and actors but with that comes an expected level of commitment.
No, there are no fees to audition or take part in the production if successful. We appreciate that there is already a lot of commitment from parents and guardians in terms of time and travel getting children to and from rehearsals and performances.
Yes you will need to book a separate audition slot for each child.
We ask that children arrive with sensible clothing and footwear to act, dance, sing and perform for both indoors and outdoors. If the weather allows we will be out on the stage.
