Ranagri is an award winning folk band from Ireland and England. With a unique blend of instruments that includes voices, guitar, bouzouki, flutes, whistles, harp/electric harp, and bodhrán/drums, they create a sound that is both mesmerising and unforgettable. The band has recorded five studio albums to date, with their latest release, Tradition II, receiving critical acclaim upon its release in July 2022. Folk Radio UK placed the album in their top 10 albums of 2022, cementing the band’s status as one of the most exciting and innovative folk bands in the UK today.

Previous critically acclaimed albums, Playing For Luck, Fort of the Hare, and The Great Irish Songbook (with pop legend Tony Christie), were recorded at the Grammy Award- winning Stockfisch Records label. The band’s third album, VOICES, was recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios and along with the album Tradition were both released on GoatsKin Records. Ranagri has established themselves as a standout act, drawing in crowds from around the world with their captivating live performances and exceptional musicianship.

Ranagri are Dónal Rogers, a prolific songwriter and producer, who has joined forces with the exceptional skills of renowned flautist Eliza Marshall, harpist Eleanor Dunsdon and percussionist Jordan Murray. Together, they establish a fresh and modern sonic landscape within the folk genre, captivating audiences both domestically and internationally, an energetic festival band yet equally at home with their more intimate writing and thought provoking lyrics.
They are as happy to make you dance as they are to make you smile or shed a tear, passionately delving into current world topics, playing with politics, and creating uplifting music to lyrics with great depth.

Ticket prices vary depending on the performance and where you choose to sit. For most events children aged 15 or under are half price.
If a show appears as SOLD OUT there are no more tickets available. We do not operate waiting lists for tickets.
When you make your booking you will receive a confirmation message through by email with your tickets.
Digital tickets will also be sent shortly before the date of your performance via text and you will receive an information email about your visit.

The Minack is not like other theatres. Our seating is on either grass or concrete terraces. If the performance staging permits, a few tickets are available for members of the audience to sit on the stage.
Our auditorium is very steep and there are a lot of steps. If you are unsure about where to sit, please phone and we'll be very happy to help you. You can also check out the photos below to see the view from various parts of the auditorium.
We have an accessible balcony for those with limited mobility. If you have other seating requirements, please phone to discuss your needs.
An induction loop is available on the grass terraces and in the accessible balcony.
If you have a group booking, it is helpful if you all arrive together so that we can seat you next to each other.
