Join the Minack Musical Theatre Academy and Rising Stars for a spectacular of music and dance, showcasing songs from the stage that have become chart hits. This show is jam-packed with songs from favourite Juke Box musicals, including We Will Rock You, Beautiful, Bat out of Hell and Mama Mia, together with the greats of the music charts; Wicked, Matilda, Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Cats and Cabaret. This will be a night to remember for all musical theatre lovers.
The Minack Musical Theatre Academy helps young people in Cornwall to develop the advanced performance skills and knowledge necessary to start their journey towards a career in the performing arts industry. Students spend one day a month working with professional practitioners and taking part in workshops with guests from the theatre world, including leading directors, actors and West End stars.
Rising Stars is a Minack supported musical theatre company. It brings together young people aged between 8 and 15 from Penzance and the surrounding area. Rising Stars gives young people the opportunity to enjoy the experience of performing and working together to create entertainment on stage.
